Every wheel we build at SPD Spokes is hand-laced and tensioned by hand in our Bristol workshop, using premium components selected for your specific riding style and requirements. Whether you need a road racing wheelset, a robust MTB build, a track wheel, or something bespoke for gravel or touring, we build to order.

We work with hubs, rims and spokes from trusted brands including DT Swiss, Sapim, Pillar and more — matched carefully to deliver the right balance of weight, stiffness and durability for your use case. Every wheel is stress-relieved, trued to tight tolerances, and checked for even spoke tension before dispatch.

Custom builds are quoted individually — get in touch with your hub and rim choice, or let us spec the whole build for you. We also offer wheel rebuilds and re-spoking services if you have existing components you want to breathe new life into.
